Hearing will determine college license

A PUBLIC hearing is being held next week to decide whether a local school should be able to extend its alcohol and entertainments license.
Malvern College has applied to Malvern Hills District Council for a premises license that will allow it to provide alcohol and entertainment until 1am Monday-Friday, midnight on Saturday and 11pm on Sunday.
Residents of Thirlstane Road and Woodshears Road have raised objections, citing noise, parking and traffic worries.
The council is holding the hearing next Friday, August 6, at Priory Lodge Hall, starting at 10.30am.
Representatives of the college will be able to put their case to members of the licensing committee, and there will also be the chance for objectors to speak.
