12:00pm Thursday 26th January 2012

WORCESTERSHIRE logistics specialists Oakland International Limited held a champagne drinks reception for employees at a special awards evening at Worcester’s Bowl Xtreme, when 14 company awards were handed out, as well as 28 long-service awards.
Dean Attwell, managing director of the Redditch-based firm, said: “Throughout Oakland International’s 13 years of trading we have continued to enjoy business success, both in times of prosperity and in this current economic climate.
“It is due to their hard work and dedication that we continue to see sustained growth, with our employee numbers now up to 204, with further recruitment planned for 2012, which is fantastic news for our UK and Irish teams and for the future.”
Recognising a range of business skills and personal qualities, the award categories included: contribution to the community, customer service, best new starter, developing others, personal development and supervisor and employee of the year.
There were also long-service awards for three and five years service. A multi-temperature supply chain specialist, Oakland operates supply chain solutions for chilled, ambient and frozen goods throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe, to major retailers, wholesalers, cash and carrys and foodservice outlets.
